TL;DR
Built A tool that asks you six questions and writes your brand kit.
Who Anyone making their own site, graphics and posts with no written brand.
Changed My site, graphics, videos and blog all reference one brand kit now.
Yours The skill, free, no email needed.

The sheet the tool produced. One page: colour roles with exact values, the type scale, the wordmark and its usage rules.
Why I Built It
I make everything my business publishes. The site, the graphics, the videos, the blog posts.
And every one of them looked like a different company.
I'd open a new file and start over on colour, on type, on spacing, because there was nothing written down to start from. I had a logo and a vague sense of warm and grounded, and that was the whole brand.
It only became obvious when I sat down to rebuild the site and couldn't commit to a single colour value.
The Mess I Was Living In
Four kinds of work, all blocked on the same missing page.
- The website rebuild. No colours or type to commit to, so it kept stalling.
- Marketing graphics. Every asset drawn from scratch, none of them siblings.
- Video work. No palette to animate against.
- Blog and social. Covers and posts with no shared look.
None of that was a design problem. It was a decisions problem, and I'd never sat down and made the decisions.
How It Works
Six questions, asked in two short rounds, in plain English. No brief, no mood board, no design vocabulary.
01 It asks about the business, not about design
What is it called and what do you do. Who are you trying to reach. What should someone feel when they land on you. Any colour you already know you want. Do you have a logo. What do you do for people and why should they trust you with it.
That's the whole interview.
02 The answers pick a recipe, then rules take over
The feel and the colour instinct select a starting palette. Everything after that is decided by written rules rather than taste, which is the part I actually wanted.
03 It won't build a sheet that breaks the rules
This is my favourite part. The gates aren't warnings, they stop the file from being written. Body text has to clear a contrast floor. A positioning line over 175 characters gets rewritten, not shrunk. A headline whose letters break apart at display size gets caught before anyone sees it.
It has saved me from myself more than once.
04 It writes the page, and everything behind it
Out comes a web page, a PDF and an image, plus a small JSON file holding every decision, so the whole thing can be rebuilt the day something changes.
The Part That Does The Work
The useful part isn't the code. It's this, the colour system written down so a build script can refuse to break it.
| Order | Role | Share | Job | 1 | FOUNDATION | 60 | page background | 2 | STRUCTURE | 15 | all body and heading text | 3 | SUPPORT | 10 | secondary blocks, fills | 4 | DEPTH | 10 | borders, captions | 5 | ACCENT | 5 | one thing per screen Hard constraints - Structure on Foundation must clear 4.5:1 contrast. The build script fails below this. - Never pure black or pure white. Tint the foundation toward the accent temperature. - One accent. A second saturated colour becomes Support at reduced saturation, or it gets cut. - Percentages must total 100.
From the skill palette reference. The build script reads it and fails loudly.

Who This Suits
Worth your time if you make your own marketing, you've never written your brand down, and you'd rather have rules to follow than another opinion.
Skip it if you already have a brand guide you actually follow, or if what you want is a logo designed. It doesn't do that.
And if you would rather not build it yourself
I Do This With Clients Too
Most of my week is this same kind of work, just on other people's businesses. I build and rebuild ClickUp systems for service businesses, and lately a lot of Claude work alongside it.
If you've looked at your own setup and thought nobody ever wrote the decisions down, I'd like to hear about it.
- We get on a call and you tell me what's going on. I'll ask a lot of questions and I won't pitch you anything.
- You get honest answers on what I'd change and what I'd leave alone, whether or not you end up hiring me.
- I'm not a hard sell kind of guy. If it makes sense to keep going after that we can talk about it, and if I don't think I'd add much I'll say so.
The intro call is free. If we go further, consulting is $250 for the first hour and $75 an hour after that.
It runs about twenty minutes and there's no charge. Please pick any time that works for you.
