How Much Does a ClickUp Consultant Cost?

Most ClickUp consultants charge between $25 and $300 per hour depending on the type of work. Fixed-scope builds typically run $1,500 to $6,000 or more.

I'm Branden Bell, a PMP and ClickUp Verified Consultant. Most pages ranking for this question are software pricing guides written by people who have never built a client workspace.

Almost nobody publishes real numbers. So here are mine.

What Do Hourly ClickUp Consulting Rates Look Like?

Hourly rates depend on what the consultant actually does. ProcessDriven, a well known systems education company, breaks the market into three tiers:

  • Execution work. $25 to $75 per hour. You tell them exactly what to build and they build it. No strategy included.

  • Setup services. $60 to $300 per hour. The consultant designs the account structure and challenges your assumptions as they build.

  • Strategy audits. $100 to $1,000 for a one hour intensive session reviewing an existing workspace.

The cheapest hourly rate is rarely the cheapest project. An executor at $40 per hour building the wrong structure costs more than a strategist who gets it right once.

What Does a Fixed Price ClickUp Build Cost?

Fixed price ClickUp builds run from about $1,500 for a one day build to $6,000 and up for a complete rebuild. This is my actual published pricing:

  • ClickUp Consulting. $250 for the first hour, $75 per additional hour. Advice only. The fee credits toward a Build in a Day booked within 72 hours of the session.

  • ClickUp Build in a Day. Starts at $1,500. One day with 8 hours of expert build time: tailored hierarchy, a delivery space, custom fields, automations, a CEO dashboard, and a bonus AI Super Agent. It includes three virtual meetings that average about an hour each, so plan to be present. The full $1,500 rolls into the Client Delivery OS if you upgrade within 72 hours and are approved.

  • ClickUp Client Delivery OS. My flagship. Starts at $6,000. A 30 day engagement with up to 80 hours of expert build time that rebuilds your entire client delivery end to end: up to 3 spaces, 30 automations, CEO dashboards, SOPs, training, and an AI Super Agent Suite.

Credit forward pricing means trying a consultant never costs extra. Every dollar moves up with you.

Is ClickUp Software Priced Separately?

Yes. Consultant fees and ClickUp subscription fees are two separate costs. These are ClickUp's current plans:

  • Free Forever. $0, with unlimited tasks and unlimited members.

  • Unlimited. $7 per user per month billed yearly.

  • Business. $12 per user per month billed yearly.

  • Enterprise. Custom pricing.

  • AI add-ons. Brain AI at $9 and Everything AI at $28 per user per month.

Most of my clients run Unlimited or Business. Budget for the subscription on top of any consulting fee.

Hourly or Fixed Price: Which Should You Choose?

Choose fixed price when you want a defined outcome, and hourly when you want advice. A fixed scope puts the risk of slow work on the consultant, not on you.

I have seen this play out with my own clients. A luxury travel advisor and an eCommerce risk agency both chose the Build in a Day because they wanted a working workspace by dinner, not a project that drags on for weeks.

One honest caveat: a one day build is not hands-off. My three build day meetings average about an hour each, and the deeper discovery questions get answered live in the morning alignment meeting. You get speed, not absence.

How Do You Avoid Overpaying for a ClickUp Consultant?

Four checks before you sign anything:

  • Verify credentials. ClickUp maintains a directory of consultants. Verified Consultants are vetted by ClickUp itself.

  • Get the scope in writing. Deliverables, hours, and meeting count. Vague scope is how hourly bills balloon.

  • Ask how fees credit forward. Good consultants let a small engagement roll into a bigger one.

  • Ask what they have built for businesses like yours. First-hand industry experience beats generic setup skills.
